The audit involved the inspection and maintenance of the:
- Critical fleet and ground support equipment including aircraft pushback tractors; and
- Terminal 5 baggage-handling system and support services and included interviews with key members of staff and management.
The audit was used to benchmark the business against other divisions of the business and against international standards to ensure compliance and enable Babcock to share its areas of good practices with the wider business as well as identify areas for improvement.
The commitment of the management and workforce towards its clients and, indirectly, towards the passengers was self-evident during the audit and reflected in the excellent findings of the audit.
