The Construction Design and Management Regulations were initially introduced in 1995 and have undergone two amendments, with CDM Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) currently being in force. CDM 2015 imposes explicit requirements on duty holders, with respect to defined Construction work being undertaken.
CDM 2015 places certain legal responsibilities on "Duty Holders" including the roles of Client, Designer, Principal Designer, Principal Contractor and Contractors.
