Renewable energy, often called "clean energy" comes from natural sources or processes that are constantly being replenished, such as solar power or wind power.
Having worked with a number of companies (both on and offshore) in the wind power sector we are currently engaged on a project study involving the management and flow of data and personnel between sites.
The project involves harnessing IT and mobile phone applications, to enable both staff and contractors to access real-time data at on-shore wind turbines, including risk assessments, previous site inspections and any outstanding issues, to ensure that the most up-to-date information is available to both in-house and contracting engineers.
It also enables effective live data flow between the management and on-site engineers, thereby giving an overview of current work in the field, improved work planning and prioritisation and additional lone worker assurance.
