Emirates CMS Power Company-PSC operates the Al Taweelah A-2 combined cycle power and desalination plant in the United Arab Emirates. The company generates electricity and produces desalinated water for supply into the Abu Dhabi grid. The company was founded in 1998 and is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. ECPC -PSC operates as a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC.
Gauged Solutions were invited to the site, on location in the United Arab Emirates to review the existing safety culture within the ECPC business and produce a detailed report outlining the strengths and areas for improvement within its operations. We conducted some individual interview sessions, along with focus groups and workplace observations. Working with very talented individuals, we met some excellent people who were totally improvement focused and committed to creating an even higher performing safety culture.
After spending close to a month on site, which included the analysis phase of the project, followed by intensive leadership and staff training, "Safety For Life" the programme name was formally launched in the early part of September, prior to a hectic outage programme scheduled for Q4 of 2016 leading into Q1 of 2017. Gauged Solutions have been invited to return in the Spring of 2017 to monitor the ongoing development of the programme and support the business accordingly.
