They provide innovative engineering solutions and turnkey project management for complex offshore subsea operations.
From the UK to Singapore via Norway and the Netherlands, Gauged Solutions supported Deep Ocean with their vision of "One Team, One Goal, Incident Free!" with their subsea operations by working collaboratively with the business in designing and delivering their Behavioural based safety programme. After the successful implementation across two continents, we then travelled further afield across the Atlantic to deliver the programme in Brazil and Mexico. A fascinating roll out of some great interactive workshops, supported by some superb individuals we met along the way.
Creating an environment where everyone has a positive Attitude was the starting point, and secondly was Courage. Having the courage to intervene to reinforce positive behaviours or indeed to challenge any undesired behaviours was the second point, and finally Teamwork. The general feeling within the business was that world class safety performance requires collaboration, togetherness and a joined up vision of what the business and everyone within it expects. (ACT).
The whole project was carried out over a two year period, involving an initial piece of empirical research to understand the prevailing safety culture. This comprised of focus groups, one to one semi structured interviews, observing and speaking with people in the workplace and finally a bespoke safety climate survey. The information was triangulated and a proven behavioural change model was introduced and delivered. The feedback from the circa 40 leadership sessions that Gauged Solutions delivered was excellent, with many employees feeling that the direction being taken by the business was visionary and appropriate, in order to achieve the next level of safety maturity.
