Gauged Solutions were recently invited to participate at the Babcock Networks supervisors 3 day leadership workshop. The aim of our session was to review the impact of supervisory level leadership, and the impact it has on team health and safety culture and overall performance
The session was attended by over 80 front line supervisors, and the workshop we delivered covered areas including the various styles of Leadership (transactional, transformational and servant) and the impact each one has on health and safety culture. We also covered modern styles of leadership in terms of how to create a coaching culture, building rapport and looking at effective interaction and transaction analysis between leaders and the workforce.
Errors, Violations and positive reinforcement were also covered, to highlight the need of when a business is trying to create a just and fair health and safety culture, all three of these topic areas need to be considered to drive performance and build trust from the workforce.
The workshop was well received, and we look forward to conducting further work in the future to help Babcock continue its vision of “home safe every day”
