Gauged Solutions Six Pillars Model To High Performing Safety Cultures

After many years of working with businesses in a variety of sectors Gauged Solutions have developed a high performing Safety Culture model, which is based on six pillars of equal importance.

In order to achieve effective risk management and high performing safety cultures, we have developed the model which is shown within this Blog, using scientific data based on safety climate questionnaires, staff based focus groups and one to one interviews.  Our research has shown us that Health and Safety Risk Management, and positive safety cultures can be formulated when the Gauged Solutions Six Pillar Model is embedded within business operations.

In order to establish a high performing safety culture the Gauged Solutions Six Pillar Model is based on the following criteria:

  1. Top management commitment
  2. Middle management involvement
  3. Safety performance focused supervisors
  4. Active involvement in safety by the workforce
  5. Positive perception of safety by the workforce
  6. Constant review of working practices
